The Reverend Dr. Sharon Betcher
Associate Professor of Theology

Dr. Betcher holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (cum laude) in Religion from Augustana College, Sioux Falls, SD, a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Theological Seminary in St. Paul, MN and both a Master of Philosophy and a Doctorate with distinction from the Graduate School of Drew University in Madison, NJ. Her dissertation was entitled Getting Grounded: Spirit Incarnate and the Kindling of Livelihood – An Ecological And Feminist Pneumatology.

Dr. Betcher was most recently Adjunct Professor at Drew Theological Seminary and Graduate School. She has also worked in several pastoral ministry positions in Minneapolis, MN within the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). She has published a number of articles, book reviews and papers and is an avid public speaker. Her specialty is constructive theology with emphasis on pneumatological, ecological and feminist theologies.
