The Reverend Dr. Wendy Fletcher
Principal and Dean
Professor of Church History

Dr. Fletcher holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario, a Master of Divinity (Honours) degree from Huron College at the University of Western Ontario and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of St. Michael's College. Her dissertation was entitled Beyond the Walled Garden: Women and the Priesthood in Anglicanism, Canada and England, 1920-1978 and was published in 1995.

Dr. Fletcher was most recently Associate Professor of the History of Christianity at Huron College in London, Ontario. She has also been Honourary Assistant and Co-ordinator of Christian Education and Formation in parish settings. Her areas of research specialty include ecclesiastical and women's history.

Her most recent book, Like Water on a Rock: Gender Integration in Canadian Anglicanism was published last year. Dr. Fletcher has also co-authored three books and has contributed chapters in five other books. She has published various articles and papers in journals and magazines throughout North America and the United Kingdom. She serves on the Commission on Accrediting and the Steering Committee of the Chief Academic Officers Association for the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada. She is also on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Church Historical Society.
