Native Ministries Grant Guidelines
- If a student
is paying tuition, they are then eligible for funding from the HR
MacMillan Fund. Spouses auditing courses (therefore, not paying
tuition) are not eligible for funding.
- MDiv students
are eligible for the $350 level of funding from the HR
MacMillan Fund, instead of the $575. The Native Ministries Summer
School is a required portion of their MDiv degree, and therefore it
falls under the Continuing Education portion of the Fund as opposed
to the Native Ministries Summer School portion.
- Tutors,
while they do not take courses or pay tuition, will be eligible for
the $350 level of funding as they are an integral part of the Native
Ministries Summer School and have expenses that need to be covered.
IMPORTANT
Please be sure to pay particular attention to the budget section
naming your expenses, as well as where your support is coming from. While
there are some internal parameters guiding the Committee, each application
is reviewed on its own merits.
Due to the
increasing demand on the Macmillan Fund, the Committee expects that applicants
have sought out prior denominational and congregational support, as well
as making a personal contribution. If you are unable to contribute, please
provide a short explanation. (It is helpful to the Committee if you specify
your source of funding – e.g., National Continuing Education, Murrin,
special grants, etc.)
