Dear Fellow Travelers … Greetings from Vancouver School of Theology.

And so we begin……The Quaker tradition lends wisdom to the path of the seeker who is leaning into the corner – which turns;  there is confidence that “way opens”. For Quakers, there is trust that today’s path lends itself fully to the walk and work of tomorrow. For the VST community, way is opening, even as way closes. As we pass the landmark of labour day, we turn the page onto the first chapter of our new academic year. As we welcome a large, diverse and enthusiastic entering class and delight in the return of our ongoing companions, we embrace the challenge of scribing the first words of opening page—we have never been this way before. By God’s grace may we live the gift of this new way with passion, integrity and unbounded commitment to the possibilities which these days will hold for us all.
