The Atlantic Article – “For the Young Doctor About to Burn Out”

This Atlantic article on the health of young doctors’ in their first years of practice is of considerable interest for new pastors, priests and ministers. “Burnout at its deepest level is not the result of some train wreck of examinations, long call shifts, or poor clinical evaluations. It is the sum total of hundreds and thousands of tiny betrayals of purpose, each one so minute that it hardly attracts notice.” There is wisdom here for leaders in the church and the in the world.
