In the tapestry of VST’s daily becoming, the warp and weft of our community lives is held in the loving and competent hands of our many staff. Coming from diverse backgrounds and varied stories to join us in this work, our staff team creates the context for both the ministry of education and of hospitality which so defines the VST experience.

In his reflection on the meaning of the human journey, Jean Vanier speaks a truth: “Life is a difficult and suffering path; it is in the companionship of courageous and caring others, that we summon the will to carry on.” These words speak directly to the daily offering of the VST staff community. With shoulders behind complicated wheels in changing times, these companions hold us. It is together, only together, that we see our work rise, our trepidation recede and our work become.
