No journey is fully known ahead of time. No path is defined before each step is taken. This year’s Summer programming is a culmination of many people’s vision and work – our own journey which has brought us to this exciting point of offering up a multitude of possibilities as stepping stones on yours…

Week-long VST Summer School Intensives in July find us hosting faculty committed to nurturing growth, nourishing the spirit, and challenging the mind. There are opportunities for spiritual exploration, exposure to innovative ideas, and for cutting-edge scholarship. We will learn from people with diverse multi-faith voices and will share in teachings about creativity in many forms. VST Summer School Courses run July 5 – 9 and July 12 – 16.

Public Lectures and Workshops continue, ensuring that there is something for everyone at VST this summer! Mark your calendars now for a variety of exciting free public lectures, and two full-day workshops: the G. Peter Kaye Lecture Workshop and the Congregational Monasticism Workshop with Karen Ward.

Spiritual Retreats are a highlight of our summer programming this year. Enter into the rhythm of the Benedictine rule of life, or the Merton Retreat: “Follow the Mystics” as they help us understand and pass through critical phases of our spiritual journeys.

Community Worship will take place throughout each week of Summer School. If you play an instrument or would like to be involved in some other aspect of worship, please let us know.

Food! Engage in thoughtful discussion with classmates and instructors during community lunches next door at Carey Centre.

Over many years we have been grateful for the continued support of continuing education programming at VST through the Chalmers Endowment.
