Apartment Types
Somerville House contains 38 suites, ranging from quad to three-bedroom apartments.
Quad Apartments
• On 3 levels; main door opens to outside on ground level.
• Four single, lockable bedrooms with shared, common area.
• Furnished living room, dining table with 6 chairs, and kitchen with fridge and stove on main floor.
• Small storage area under staircase.
• Cable television connection.
• Two bedrooms on 2nd floor with shared bathroom with tub.
• Two bedrooms on 3rd floor with shared bathroom with shower.
• Each bedroom with single bed with drawers, desk with bookshelf hutch, chair, closet, and cable internet connection.
• Approximately 1194 square feet.
Studio Apartments
• On 4th floor; door opens to hallway, accessible via elevator or inside stairs.
• Kitchen area with bar fridge, hot plate, table and 2 chairs.
• Double-sized bed with drawers, desk with bookshelf hutch, chair and clothes bureau.
• Cable television and cable internet connection.
• Bathroom with shower.
• Access to shared kitchen with stove, large fridge and freezer at end of hall.
• Approximately 270 square feet.
• Suitable for a single person.
• Note: Two studio apartments are disabled-friendly (special fittings for bathrooms) – approximately 410 square feet including outdoor patio.
One-bedroom Apartments
• On ground floor; main door opens to outside.
• Furnished living room and kitchen with stove, fridge, table and 3 chairs.
• Desk with bookshelf hutch and chair.
• Cable television and cable internet connection.
• Bedroom with double-sized bed with drawers and clothes bureau.
• Bathroom with tub.
• Approximately 500 square feet.
• Suitable for a single person or couple.
• Note: One apartment is disabled-friendly (special fittings for bathroom), with a small den.
• Note: One apartment is available in the Iona Building for a VST student. It does not have a stove or large fridge, but rather has access to a kitchen in the student lounge in Iona.
Two-bedroom Apartments
• On 2 levels; main door on 2nd floor, accessible via outside stairs.
• Furnished living room and kitchen with stove, fridge, table and 4 chairs.
• Cable television connection.
• 2 bedrooms on 3rd floor; each with single bed with drawers, desk with bookshelf hutch, chair, closet, and cable internet connection.
• Shared bathroom with shower on 3rd floor.
• Approximately 780 square feet.
• Suitable for 2 single persons.
• Note: One two-bedroom apartment is on the ground level, with a double bed in one room and a single bed in the other.
Three-bedroom Apartments
• On 2 levels; main door on 2nd floor, accessible via outside stairs.
• Furnished living room with outdoor patio.
• Kitchen with stove, fridge, table and 6 chairs.
• Cable television connection.
• Small storage area under staircase.
• 3 bedrooms on 3rd floor; each with desk with bookshelf hutch, chair, closet, and cable internet connection.
• 2 bedrooms with single beds share bathroom with tub or shower.
• 1 bedroom with doubled bed with en-suite bathroom (tub or shower).
• Approximately 1,140 square feet.
• Suitable for a couple and 2 children or 3 single persons.
