This highly experiential workshop on emotional intelligence and human relations skills will focus on the main ingredient in church leadership, namely the capacity of leaders to engage people in meaningful ways, and build a team for important work and ministry.

It will utilize the EQ 360 survey which not only reflects the individuals self assessment, but up to 20 other people’s assessment of him/her. The results of this survey becomes the agenda for the intense small group work, engaging 8 to 12 people in each small group with two trained facilitators.

Roy M. Oswald has been an Alban Senior Consultant for 31 years. He is also author of 16 books, the latest of which is Managing Polarities within Congregations, published by the Alban Institute this past December.

Location: Vancouver School of Theology

Registration opens in late August 2010.
