Master of Divinity (M.Div.)

The Master of Divinity degree programme is for those seeking an academic programme with practical applications within which to explore the depths of their faith. Students who desire preparation for a variety of lay ministries are invited to study in this degree programme. As a result, the number of required courses is reduced as compared with the M.Div. (Ordination) degree programme which allows for more flexible study in the student's area of interest.

Length of Programme
This 100-credit hour degree may be completed in three years of full-time study (including the time required for the Foundational Courses) or it may be completed on a part-time basis. There is a limit of seven years from the date of initial enrolment for the completion of this degree.

Transfer Credit
VST has a relationship with UBC's Department of Classical, Near Eastern and Religious Studies (CNRS) Department that allows VST students to take any of the graduate courses offered by that department as electives. For a course listing and detailed descriptions, please see the CNRS Department web-site at www.cnrs.ubc.ca. Students are also welcome to take advantage of course offerings at Regent College. Please see www.regent-college.edu for more details.
